Why did you initially become interested in design?

”Because it allows me to express myself and pushes me towards concrete action. There is no strict formulas that determine right or wrong, only a better way of doing things. Doing design has brought me closer to my life purpose - to keep channeling my inner creative side for greater goods”

How did you switch from Industrial Designer to Digital Product Designer?

“I got interested in industrial design at first because it taught me that design isn’t only about visuals. This field of study had occupied my basic understanding of humans and research, but soon I realized that I was more fascinated with its underlying thinking process instead of the physical craftmenship itself. This is where I decided to pivot into research, took my first internship in a design consultancy firm as a researcher, and got a referral to a tech company where I made a final decision to transform into a digital product designer”

What's something you learned recently in your design career that you consider extremely valuable?

”I learned that as a designer, I’m expected to not only have deep expertise in our field, but also the ability to oversee and make connection between fields. In that way, we will be able to strengthen our design argument and make a smarter decision that becomes a win-win for everyone”
